I enjoy working with adults and adolescents on issues related to anxiety, depression, stress management, insomnia, relationships, body image and eating related issues, cross-cultural adjustment, trauma, and professional and academic development. Based on each person's needs and preferences, I integrate different treatment modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and relational approaches in a supportive atmosphere. After identifying the issues of concern, we may explore their underpinnings, learn how they manifest in your current life, and work on overcoming them by developing coping skills and strategies for addressing your concerns and promoting behavioral and cognitive changes to achieve your goals.
In addition to private practice, I serve as an assistant clinical professor at the George Washington University where I supervise advanced doctoral students. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University Counseling & Psychiatric Service where I teach seminars to doctoral and post-doctoral students.
