We have been seeing Dr. Gerber for 2 years and through 2 surgeries. He is efficient and knowledgeable. We were interested in a more aggressive treatment path and Dr. Gerber gave us both conservative and aggressive options so we could make the best choice.

Born and raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., Dr. Matthew Gerber graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, magna cum laude. Dr. Gerber earned his medical degree from The University of Maryland-Baltimore, graduating magna cum laude as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
Dr. Gerber completed both his general surgery internship and his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Dr. Gerber's residency included thorough training in both pediatric and adult otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Gerber's practice encompasses all aspects of head and neck medicine and surgery in both children and adults. He particularly enjoys taking care of pediatric patients, as well as patients with ear disease, nasal and sinus disease, and thyroid disease.
