It’s been a while since I’ve had a pcp and Dr. McKenna was extremely understanding and non-judgmental about that! We had a long introductory appointment along with a physical. I have always been completely honest with my doctors but this one somehow makes it easy to be transparent about your history and/or concerns. He’s very personable, respectful and pleasant. Even regarding areas of concern, he was never pushy or demanding. He shared his opinion/advice and moved on to the next thing. Being a smoker and heavy drinker, it’s a relief to see a doctor that doesn’t solely focus on trying to change your mind. He is only concerned with his patients overall health and wellness and it’s obvious that he truly loves his job! I have recommended him to my husband and teenage daughters already!

I avoided going the doctor for almost a decade because of past experiences I've had with other doctors. Dr. McKenna listened to all of my concerns, never spoke down to me, never spoke over me or interrupted me, and spent nearly an hour with me going over all of my concerns. Not once did I feel rushed. Instead of dreading going to the doctor, I look forward to seeing him again.

Staff was helpful & friendly, I went to the wrong office. I didn’t have to wait very long at all. I saw the doctor for the first time because I needed my thyroid medication. The Doctor was friendly & knowledgeable. I am 8 years clean & sober it’s important to me that the doctor I see is aware & kind about my history. The doctor was very kind & even congratulated me, he was willing to work with my current addiction doctor too. I was more then happy with my entire visit & look forward to my next appointment.
