More about Dr. Matthew Jung, MD
Dr. Jung, a native of the Pacific Northwest, graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA with a B.S. in Biochemistry, where he was inducted into the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Chemistry Honors Society. He went on to obtain an M.S. degree in physiology at Georgetown University, and received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed his surgical residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Jung has focused on research to help advance medical knowledge, being an author on numerous journal articles and a book chapter, and recently presented his research at a national meeting. He has a passion for teaching both trainees and patients, having been awarded the Medical Student Teaching Award as a chief resident, and also by volunteering annually for the Community Head and Neck Cancer Screening Clinic while in St. Louis. He believes the key to delivering effective and compassionate care is through communication and education, as well as an understanding of patient’s goals to formulate the best treatment option for each patient.
Dr. Jung treats pediatric and adult patients in all aspects of otolaryngology with special interest in minimally invasive endoscopic management of salivary gland diseases, and he will be practicing in our Manahawkin location.

Dr Jung is awesome. He has been treating my daughter who has major sinus/ear issues for over a year. She just had a new set of ear tubes put in as well as a tonsil/adenoidectomy and she is better than she's been in years. He's an excellent doctor and surgeon and he puts my daughter at ease every visit, he's down to earth and funny. Highly recommend him.
