Professional statement

Dr. Matthew Teltser has been practicing as a board certified cardiologist in South Broward for over 20 years and has built a large following. His expertise includes diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, lipidology, nuclear cardiology and preventive cardiology. His success with patients stems from his philosophy that patients need to be active partners in their treatment. Upon completion of his MD degree, which was attained at UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School, he moved to Pennsylvania and became board certified in Internal Medicine after training at Medical College of Pennsylvania. During his fourth year at MCP, Dr. Teltser was an Instructor of Internal Medicine while completing a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology. He continued his journey southward and completed his training in cardiology at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville. In addition to his board certification in cardiology he is a board certified lipidologist (specialist in cholesterol disorders). He is also board certified in nuclear cardiology, heart imaging techniques using radioisotopes (radioactive tracers). He has a strong interest in preventive cardiology and is a member of the ASPC (American Society of Preventive Cardiology).
