He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Vermeer continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at the USF/Morton Plant Mease Program.
