Dr. Wang attended Whittier College on an academic scholarship where he studied chemistry and music then went on to the Southern California College of Optometry to earn his doctorate in optometry. A distinguished contact lens practitioner, Dr. Wang is also licensed to treat and manage ocular disease and is on staff at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He is a past president of the Orange County Optometric Society and was named Young Optometrist of the Year in 2008 by the California Optometric Association.
Dr. Wang resides in Irvine with his wife and three children. On days off, the family can often be found on a basketball court or enjoying Southern California’s great outdoors.

Staff was very friendly, very patient when I was choosing new glasses, even staying with me 1 hour past closing so that I can compare different frames. Doctor Wang was also friendly and seemed genuinely concerned when presenting certain issues about my eyes.

I did not feel very heard by him. He laughed at me a few times when I was explaining my vision/eye concerns, and blew off some of my questions. The front desk employee and employee who did the initial eye tests were great, but I will not be going back.

Dr. Wang is incredibly professional and truly cares about each patient. I have complete confidence in him for my family's vision needs. The receptionist and Dr. Matt's technician's are also very personable and caring. Thank you for always providing a welcoming and peaceful environment (Dr. Wang has instrumental music playing in his exam room...which is relaxing and tranquil & there is coffee and water in the waiting room). I only waited about 5 minutes after updating my medical history on a high tech ipad handed to me by the receptionist (no more clipboards :). I highly recommend Dr. Wang and his caring staff!!

With each appointment, I am greeted by the friendly professional staff. There is coffee & water, magazines (which I never get to finish since they are "too efficient"!). Dr Wang & Dr Wong are very good at listening & answering and questions I may have. Getting replacement contacts is quick too!

Doctor is very professional and patient, however the lady who helped me to wear lenses was not that patient, especially when I had questions about the payment. she was kinda push too. Don't like her at all. Except that I do recommend Dr. Wang

Great visit. This was my first time visiting an eye doctor (that I can recall), and it was a pleasant one. I had no idea just how blind I was, but I'm happy to have a great pair of glasses and great vision now. Went in, filled in some info on an "i"Pad, got my vision checked, left with new frames and lenses and a better outlook on life (all over a 2-hour lunch). Dr. Wang even told me about a cyst on my eye I had been wondering about for a few years and emailed me the images of the back of my eyes at my request. Pretty neat!

This was my first time visiting Dr. Wang and I felt very comfortable there. His staff was friendly and informative. The glasses themselves are a little pricey (what doctors office isn't), but with my insurance they were able to find frames for me with in my budget. I've been looking for a new Optometrist for years now, I believe I have finally found one. ;)

The doctor seemed to be knowledgeable and trustworthy. He discussed new options for my eye vision corrections which were interesting to me.
The staff were great and polite. However, they were trying to sell their products (lenses) to you in a way.
The best of all the paper work was done electronically which I loved it. Overall I am happy with their services and their machines.

Dr. Wang was knowledgeable, accurate in his diagnose and medical opinions, as well as friendly. I have visited many eye doctors and I consider he is among the best. I highly recommend him.

From the moment I entered, I was greeted promptly by the Optician, who has a great personality and is very professional. Then after he did the preliminary work, the doctor came in and completed the exam. I was fitted for contacts and then trained by the lens technician. She was awesome as well. Such a great group of professionals. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Wang and his office professionals!

Loved how friendly everyone is at the office. Dr. Wang is very gentle and considerate which is important because my husband has very sensitive eyes. He can't have anything close to his eyes without feeling panic. (Yes, even eye glasses).

It was a very congenial and friendly atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The exam was very thorough. Also, I bought the contact lenses thru the office, and they were on my doorstep 2 days later! Dr. Wang is definitely my optometrist from now on.
