Dr. Matt Zawilenski, MD is a board certified family physician who has been practicing in Chicago’s northwest suburbs since 1997. Born and raised in the Chicago area, he earned his bachelor of science degree in Cell and Structural Biology from the University of Illinois. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he completed his family medicine residency at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn. Dr. Z wants to get you involved in creating the care plan that works best for you. It’s his goal to collaborate with you, so that together you can work toward keeping your health on the right track, through modern medicine with a traditional feel. In his free time, Dr. Z enjoys coaching youth football, home improvement projects and spending time with his wife and three children.

The doctor is thorough. The staff was not really clued in. The person who I saw before the doctor made it seem like I wouldn't have blood work and when I saw the doctor and asked him, he said yes, I was.
Also, as I was leaving, I told the front desk that the doctor wanted some information. I gave it to them and never heard another word about it.

I, at first, had trouble finding the office when I arrived and when I finally saw it, it appeared to be what I would colloquially call a hole in the wall. But the interior was very nice, the staff helpful and friendly, and the doctor himself very efficient and quick with his work. I intend to become a regular patient if that is to be the standard rate of service in future appointments.

The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly; however, my experience with Dr. Z felt very rushed. He books appointments every 15 minutes so he had a lot of availability but I felt like I was being pushed out the door before we even spoke.
I didn't feel like I was valued as a patient due to the urgency. I highly recommend going to a different doctor/office, I will not be returning or suggesting this to my friends/family.

I’m sure he’s very knowledgeable in his area of expertise but I was upset about a diagnosis and he brushed it off while I was crying, and just said well you’re free to leave now and left with the door open.
