In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
My role as a primary care provider is to provide health and wellness for the whole person. This includes not only your physical health but also your mental well-being. I really enjoy getting to know my patients and building a relationship with each of them.
What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I’m passionate about being a healthcare provider because I get to impact my patients' health through education, prevention, and treatment. I enjoy building a good rapport with my patients and helping them feel their best. I have been a Nurse Practitioner for over 3 years and a Nurse for 10 years. I worked in Orthopedics, Oncology, and Neuro ICU during my time as a Nurse. I love to learn and stay up to date on evidence-based practices. My passions are Rheumatology, Orthopedics, and Gastroenterology.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a big hockey and college football fan. Go Lightning! I enjoy reading, cooking, and running. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my three dogs.
