Megan Clowers, OMD, is a native and multi-generational Nevadan. After completing her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2009 from the University of Nevada, Reno, she chose to pursue a career in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. In 2014, she completed her Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
Her clinical focus often involves treating pain complaints, but she sees a wide variety of issues. This includes women’s and men’s health, sleeping problems, digestive complaints, pregnancy related conditions, and general health and wellness. In practice she utilizes acupuncture, herbal medicine, electroacupuncture, cupping, nutritional counseling, and Asian bodywork.
When Megan is not in her office treating patients, she enjoys the many recreational activities the Reno-Tahoe area has to offer. She is often running on trails, backpacking in the Sierras during the summer months, or enjoying a workout at her local CrossFit box.
Megan is married to a mathematician and has two vivacious French Bulldogs named Zoey and Luna.
