She received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Physiology in 2005 at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She completed medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine of Biosciences in 2009. Dr. Heil went on to complete her internship and residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, recently graduating in 2013. She served as chief resident in ophthalmology her senior year of residency. Dr. Heil is married with a one-year-old son and loves spending any free time with her family. She is also an avid runner and in her spare time teaches indoor cycling classes.
