Dr. Hicks is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Nutritional Sciences and Family Studies and Human Development, followed by her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. She remained in Phoenix to complete a pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hicks always loved working with children and wanted to have a career where she could help children grow and develop into healthy adults.
“I believe that being a pediatrician is a partnership between the patient, the parent, and myself. It is important that all of us develop a trusting relationship so that we can work together to help our child be as happy and healthy as possible. I want to help families through the regular stages of growth and development, but also help them through the difficult times when their child is sick.“
As a pediatrician, Dr. Hicks enjoys taking care of newborns all the way up through adolescence and early adulthood. She is passionate about preventive healthcare and helping families have fun while creating healthy habits. When she is not at work, Dr. Hicks enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and two kids.
