Mehra Hosseini M.D. grew up in the Bay Area. Dr. Hosseini graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC-Santa Cruz with Honors in Biology and Psychology. He received his M.D. from New York Medical College and went on to UC-Davis for Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology & Hepatology fellowship. Dr. Hosseini has published articles in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Hosseini holds memberships in the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is Board certified and has been practicing gastroenterology, hepatology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy since 1999. Dr. Hosseini has been Medical Director of the Walnut Creek Endoscopy Center, East Bay Endoscopy Center and also the past Gastroenterology Division Chief at Alta Bates Hospital. Dr.Hosseini also sees patients at the University of California Berkeley Tang Health Center. He is an avid soccer player, skier, and mountain biker who enjoys watching his children at football and cheer. Dr. Hosseini who speaks Farsi and Spanish is dedicated to the well being and comfort of his patients.
