Dr. Mehrdad E. Saadat attended The University of Georgia after graduating from South Cobb High School in Austell, GA. He returned to the Atlanta from Athens early as he was selected to enroll in Emory University's "House Staff Program". After Graduation from Kennesaw University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, he received his Doctorate in Optometry from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Saadat is trained in areas of ocular disease. He has a particular interest and is highly trained in the area of what is commonly known as "Dry Eye" also known as "Dysfunctional Tear Syndrome" which includes dryness, itching and watery eyes. Dr. Saadat even travels to educate other optometrists different methods of diagnosing and treating Dysfunctional Tear Syndrome. He is also well trained in contact lenses including lenses for astigmatism and bifocal or multi-focal use.
He is a 10 year member of the American Optometric Association, and the Georgia Optometric Association. He has served as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and is currently the Vice President of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. He hopes to be selected to lead the state in the future . He also serves the South Cobb Lions club.
Dr. Saadat is currently single and enjoys spending time with friends and family. His hobbies involve motorsports including autocross, track and drag racing as well as Formula-1 racing. He also enjoys camping, skiing and travel.

The stall at Tulman are incredible. I was a new patient needing to be seen as soon as possible and they worked me in that day! Dr. Saadat was very thorough and seemed to sincerely enjoy his job.

Dr. Saadat is OUTSTANDING! I brought my very energetic and inquisitive 5 year old son to be seen and oh how I wish I would have brought him sooner! This was our first experience with a private practice after visiting a national chain eye care last year for his first optometrist visit. Upon observing my son, Dr. Saadat immediately gave me more information regarding his eye health and potential remedy to keep his eye from turning in than I had ever heard. The previous doctor suggested glasses to fix his condition and today we discovered his glasses were the issue. He was so patient with my son and I couldn't get over how effortlessly he was able to administer dilation drops. That may not be a big deal to some but I thought it was genius. Anyway, Dr. Saadat is awesome! I look forward to my appointment later this month.

Dr. Saadat is a very great doctor. He was really great with my child and she loved him. He did a great job with making my daughter feel comfortable with him cause normally she is scared to death of anyone in a white coat, but I love how he interacted with her. Also, made me comfortable throughout the procedure alone with my child. He gave me very vital information about my daughter condition and he also let me watched a short video in reference to my daughter's condition which no other doctor has ever taking the time out to make sure I am fully knowledgeable about the condition you are diagnosed with. He is just awesome. Also, the staff were very professional and warmth. Everyone was just amazing!

The only thing I would ever change about this office is their wait time. My appointment was at 4:20 and I did not get back there to see the doctor until 5:50. No one should have to wait that long. I love the doctor, I love the staff, but feel the wait time could be better. Every time I have been there, it has been a long wait.

Good Doctor, however I waited for a long time. Also the staff needs improvement. They appear to be unorganized and confused on how to bill my insurance. This has happened before which is why I sought another eye care provider last year. Staff needs to be more confidential. I don't need everyone in the office to know where I work.
