Dr. Lagomichos has a multicultural background and was born and raised in Munich, Germany to Greek and French/Italian parents. She is multilingual and fluent in German and conversational in French. She established her Texas roots, however, by completing high school in Coppell, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas at Austin and received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business. Her passion for medicine, however, arrived later while working as a Marketing Program Director for the American Heart Association. Deciding to pursue her drive for helping others, Dr. Lagomichos attended medical school and received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. There, she received the honor of being selected as Administrative Chief Resident and was the recipient of the 2016 American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists award. Her passion to help others, however, is not limited geographically. She is a member of the Life is Great nonprofit organization and participates in annual global medical mission trips to Peru and the Philippines. There, she has helped promote cervical cancer awareness screening and performed multiple surgical procedures for women with limited access to healthcare.
Dr. Lagomichos has been married to her husband Tommy since 2012, also a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where they met. In her down time, she enjoys cooking, playing the piano, running and watching movies. Special Interests: Minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy and robotic surgery, global healthcare, preventative medicine, nutrition.

Dr. Melanie gave me the best OB-GYN experience I have ever had. She patiently listened to my medical history (never rushed) and gave her medical opinion in a way I can easily understand. Her comments were both concerning and as well as she explained the risks without sugar-coating.

It was an extremely clean and modern looking office. The doctor and nurse were so polite and made me feel very comfortable. And everything went pretty quickly, I had a few issues with getting my implant removed but she was patient and took her time and made sure that I was comfortable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new OBGYN.

This was my first time visiting the office. It is very nice and well organized the front desk ladies are very polite, professional, and welcoming. I was a new patient but did not take long to be seen. Once I got in the room the nurse was very attentive to my concerns. It did not take long for the Doctor to come in and once I explained my concerns she listened to me and I really felt comfortable with her. She is very nice and she explained everything to me very well. I left the office feeling good about the appointment. I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Lagomichos to anyone.

Loved it! This is my first pregnancy and I feel like I’m in very good hands. Dr L is wonderful and super informative and thorough. Also, the phlebotomist was AMAZING! Very gentle, left no bruising on my arm, great conversationalist as well.

I have a hard background to talk about when it comes to pregnancy, and the staff and Dr. L were so careful to be conscious and careful asking me questions and talking about the past. The wait time was very short, as soon as I filled out my paper worked and turned it in I was brought to the back. She was able to answer all my personal question and made me feel very comfortable which made my anxiety go away.
