Melissa Markel is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in functional medicine, weight loss and anti-aging. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and worked in the Emergency Room as a nurse for 4 years. She obtained her Master’s in Nursing from University of Texas Arlington in 2020 and completed the Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic, and Functional Medicine from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in 2021. Prior to joining the team at Pacholec Center for Weight Loss, she had been working at a functional medicine and longevity clinic in Dallas, TX for 2 years. She has experience in hormone replacement, IV therapy, medical weight loss, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, and aesthetic neurotoxin injections. Outside of work Melissa enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with her family and 2 cats.
Melissa joins the Pacholec Center for Weight Loss team in August 2022! She will be working out of both our St Petersburg, FL and Lutz, FL clinics, so all of our wonderful patients should have an opportunity to meet her! She will be covering for Ms. DeNeve while she is out on maternity leave end of August 2022 through early November 2022.
