Having been board certified in Family Practice and Geriatrics, Dr. Brown also has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine. He brings 40 years’ experience to his integrative approach for treating patients of both genders, ages 2 to 102, from throughout the greater Seattle area.
At Marina Medical, much of Dr. Brown’s care focuses on prevention or management of complex chronic illness including metabolic syndrome, diabetes, cardiovascular and pulmonary problems.
He and his medical team provide services ranging from pediatrics to treatment for hormone deficiencies and migraines. Geriatric care includes screening for cognitive impairment and treatment of memory loss and dementia. Certified for treatment using Suboxone, Dr. Brown offers chronic pain management as well as treatment for opiate dependency and other chemical addictions. Much laboratory testing can be conducted onsite and Urgent Care walk-in visits are available to all for a reasonable flat fee regardless of insurance.
Mindful that nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional health play an essential role in one’s well-being, Dr. Brown encourages patients to take advantage of lifestyle guidance and activities, including the in-house program called Optimal Wellness & Lifestyle Support, or OWLS for short.
It was at the University of Utah School of Medicine that Dr. Brown earned his medical degree, followed by an internship at Holy Cross Hospital, also in Salt Lake City. After two years as an Army medical training advisor at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas Dr. Brown pursued a year of advanced training in general surgery. His private practice career began in Southern California, and during the 1980’s he pioneered a multi-disciplinary holistic and integrative medical clinic there.
