Dr. Michael Cantor was born in Staten Island, NY and he obtained his medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University. Currently, he practices at Sports, Pain & Regenerative Institute based in two locations Edgewater and White Plains, NY.
Dr. Cantor is a successful physiatrist and he spent three years performing cutting edge orthopedic stem cell procedures in Denver, CO. During this time, he successfully treated hundreds of patients ranging from children to professional athletes and seniors with chronic orthopedic issues such as arthritis, tendinitis, and ligament damage without the need for surgery. Dr. Cantor is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and he is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Cantor is really one of a kind. I haven't ever had a doctor listen to me like he did, I could tell that he really cared about me. He took his time explaining everything for me and put me at ease about all of my questions. I couldn't recommend him any more highly!

Dr. Cantor is a brilliant guy, you can tell how passionate he is about his patients and his practice. His enthusiasm is palpable and his staff was with him every step of the way. He took the time to clearly lay out my options for me like nobody else ever has. Awesome work Dr. Cantor!

I came to see Dr. Cantor to have stem cell therapy for my knee arthritis. I'd seen his TED talk online and really loved the concept of healing with my body's own material. He explained every aspect of the procedure to put my mind completely at ease. The injection was painless and after only 3 weeks, WOW. My knee pain is gone and I'm almost ready to start running again! Dr. Cantor saved my knee from surgery, he and his staff are second to none!
