Michael M. Cho M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Cho is also a staff physician at Hackensack University Medical Center and directs the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinic at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. He is a board certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Cho was educated at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and attended medical school at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at MacDonald Women’s Hospital of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where he won the resident research award for his research on menopause. He subsequently completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Southern California – Keck School of Medicine Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California where he did research on the effects of estrogen and progesterone on the vascular system.
Dr. Cho’s areas of interest include both male and female infertility, minimally invasive surgery, reconstructive surgery, and surrogacy and egg donation. Dr. Cho is a reviewer for several medical journals in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility and is involved in the national organizations including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology. He is fluent in several languages including Mandarin and Taiwanese.
