I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate and heal from life's challenges. Holding a Doctorate in Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy Specialization), a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (MFT specialization), and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on Neuropsychology my educational journey has been rich and diverse, equipping me with a profound understanding of the human mind and relationships.
At the core of my therapeutic approach is the Bowen Family Systems theory, rooted in Psychoanalysis. This perspective allows me to view an individual's challenges not just on a personal level, but within the larger context of their family and societal systems. I help my patients unravel and address deep-rooted issues by bringing unconscious patterns to the forefront fostering meaningful and lasting change.
Specializing in Trauma, I am trained in brain-based interventions such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Biofeedback, and Neurofeedback. My expertise extends to addressing concerns unique to BDSM/Kink dynamics, Consensual Non-Monogamous and Poly Relationships, and the Sexual and Gender Minority (LGBTQIA+) community. I have substantial experience working with religious trauma, sexual exploitation, and a range of issues related to sexual and gender identity.
My professional journey has taken me through various roles, including Lead Clinical Therapist in nonprofit settings and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient dual diagnosis programs. I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a Clinical Member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I am a Board Certified Sexologist, through the American Board of Sexology (ABS)
