As this was my first visit to the office and with Dr Jacobson I had expected it to take much longer to become comfortable. The Dr. Did a very nice job finding and adjusting my problem spots.

Dr. Michael Jacobson practices with Arizona Pain Specialists in their downtown Phoenix and Desert Ridge offices. He is Board Certified in chiropractic and physiotherapy. Dr. Jacobson received his chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College and also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston University. He is originally from New York and currently resides in Phoenix.
Dr. Jacobson began practicing in the valley as a solo practitioner 2001 and recently practiced in the downtown Phoenix area prior to starting at Arizona Pain Specialists. He incorporates exercise, stretching, postural assessments and nutrition in his holistic approach to wellness. He has studied several types of soft tissue therapies including Active Release Technique, post-isometric relaxation and trigger point therapy. He formerly was certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association is presently part-time clinical adjunct faculty at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe. Prior to that, he taught courses in anatomy and physiology and pathology at the Arizona School of Massage Therapy.
Dr. Jacobson is a member of the Arizona Association of Chiropractic and has served as both a district delegate and on the board of education committee. He has attended numerous seminars in the field of chiropractic including nutrition, posture, rehabilitation, and personal injury. He has also taken several post-graduate courses in nutrition, genetics and immunology.

Very professional gentleman who saw me promptly and walked with me through my varied medical background with absolute aplomb. I was pleasantly surprised when he didn't turn my appointment into the regular "let me see you twice a week for three months an then you'll start seeing results" spiel. He took care of my immediate issue and ASKED me if I wanted to come back for a recheck. Definitely recommend anyone who treats me as a person and not just a checkbook!!
