For further training, he completed a residency at Washington Hospital Center as well as an Infectious Disease fellowship at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Silverman is Board-certified in Internal Medicine. His focus on infectious diseases leads him to provide care for many types of illnesses; a few of these are meningitis, tropical diseases and parasites, Lyme disease, soft tissue infections, and STDs. He also provides consultations for patients who are planning to travel to foreign countries and for those with more routine illnesses such as the flu or ear infections. Dr. Silverman is a certified specialist in HIV in addition to his general certifications. He is currently an attending physician in the Department of Medicine at Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Silverman speaks Spanish and English.
