Dr. Michael Trice is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating injuries and arthritis of the hip, knee, and shoulder. He graduated with a BA from Princeton and an MD from Harvard. He went on to complete both Orthopedic Residency Training and Sports Medicine Fellowship Training at Harvard. He subsequently completed a Total Joint Fellowship at the Scripps Clinic. He went on to learn cartilage transplantation from Dr. Lars Peterson in Sweden and Dr. Tom Minas in Boston.
Dr. Trice has been a trailblazer in the areas of: cartilage restoration, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, total hip and knee replacement, as well as partial hip and knee replacement. He is among the most experienced cartilage transplantation surgeons in the country. He is also experienced in the care of: sports injuries, fractures, and spinal disorders.
Prior to moving to Houston, Dr. Trice was Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Director of the Johns Hopkins Cartilage Restoration Center
