Michael Venincasa, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He practices general cardiology with an emphasis in noninvasive cardiology.
Dr. Venincasa earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. After completing a residency in internal medicine at Washington University, he returned to Dallas for advanced training in cardiovascular disease through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Venincasa joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
Dr. Venincasa’s experience includes 25 years of private practice in South Dallas and Mansfield and service as Chair of the Department of Cardiology at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. He believes that optimizing medical therapy and making lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) are equally important in treating cardiovascular disease.
