This is a requirement for video and in-person visits. Mike was raised on the Front Range in Widefield, Colorado where he attended CSU for his undergrad and went on to CU for medical school. Mike attended the University of North Carolina for his residency and was in private practice in Raleigh, NC. In 2009 Mike joined the OB Hospitalists Group in Southern California. He became the medical director of operations for the OB Hospitalist Group, managing 12 programs along the west coast. Mike and his family moved to Glade Park, CO in 2012 and began working at St. Mary’s Hospital when they began the OB Hospitalists Group in 2014. Mike is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, a Fellow of the American Congress of OB/GYN (ACOG) and has won numerous resident teaching awards in his career. Mike has a passion for patient education and empowering women to know their bodies and work towards their best health. Mike started St. Mary’s Medical Center | OB/GYN with a vision of promoting high quality and respectful care for the women of the Grand Valley. Mike wholeheartedly believes in this vision and lives by the motto “treat every patient as if they were your wife, daughter, or mom. Recognize that each person has their own story, and it is important to find out each individual’s story in order to find the right care plan for her.” Mike and his wife have been married 18 years; they have 2 kids, a son (10), a daughter (7), a German shepherd, chickens, barn cats and a herd of migrating mule deer. When he is not delivering babies or running the practice, Mike loves being outdoors. His family can usually be found hiking, camping and enjoying the beautiful grand valley.
