Dr. Michelle Bennett is thrilled to be joining Nuheights Pediatrics as a full-time pediatrician! She has previously been a full-time pediatrician for 16 years in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was a partner in a 15-physician pediatric practice. She attended medical school at the University of Kentucky, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was named Student of the Year in Pediatrics. She completed her pediatrics residency at the University of South Carolina, where she was nominated for Resident of the Year. She was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and she is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has particular interests in breastfeeding, newborn care, and attachment parenting. She is an advocate for immunizations. In her free time, she enjoys attending theater, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. Fun fact: Her daughter has been in two Broadway shows, including originating the role of Young Anna in the premiere of Frozen.
