Dr. Jeannette is board certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry. She has been practicing psychiatry for 10 years, and prior to this, she was an internal medicine physician for 13 years. She has held academic and teaching positions, and has worked in outpatient, hospital, community-based, and private settings. She has been a consulting psychiatrist for numerous primary care organizations.
Dr. Jeannette focuses on medication management in visits that provide a collaborative and personalized supportive environment. She uses supportive and brief evidence-based techniques to help patients reach their goals. At times she will suggest adding a therapist to the care team to provide improved and more sustained positive outcomes.
Dr. Jeannette received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts. She completed a residency in internal medicine in 1995 at the University of Arizona. She remained there as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine for three years, before moving to Seattle Washington where she practiced as an internist in both primary care and hospital settings. She completed a second residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Washington. She has practiced as both a geriatric psychiatrist and a general adult psychiatrist, most recently for a Native American tribe in Southern Arizona.
Dr. Jeannette has worked with a wide variety of adult patients, from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Her current clinical focus is treating patients who may suffer from depression, anxiety, or trauma-related symptoms.
