Dr. Rivera is very thorough and professional. I use her to check my moles, etc. for potential skin cancer and she does a great job. Last year she spotted a mole that was pre-cancerous, and it was removed before it became a danger. She explains what she sees as she goes along. I have been very pleased with Dr. Rivera and her staff.

Dr. Michelle A. Rivera is a board certified dermatologist whose private practice is situated on the campus of Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia outside Washington, DC.
Understanding that medical and aesthetic concerns are interlaced in each patient, Dr. Rivera’s goal is to evaluate the patient’s skin and put together a treatment program that will integrate both medical and aesthetic services.
After graduating from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Dr. Rivera went on to complete a three year residency in pediatrics at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. This was followed by fellowship training in dermatology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. With an enduring commitment to academic excellence, Dr. Rivera is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Since 1993, Dr. Rivera has been regularly listed as one of the top dermatologists in the Washingtonian Magazine.

My first visit with Dr. Rivera and it went very well. Didn't wait long to be seen and Dr. Rivera was kind and gave a very detailed explanation as to what she was looking for during the exam. Dr. Rivera didn't rush and pointed out things I should be aware of and to keep a watch on until my next visit. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Rivera and will definitely see her again.

I was impressed and relieved at the promptness of Dr. Rivera and her staff. She was helpful and direct in her diagnosis and very concise in her description of the treatment plan. Even though she does not take all insurances, her rates are very competitive and well worth the money.
