Michelle Santoro, DNP, APN, FNP, is a doctorally prepared family nurse practitioner at Cardio Metabolic Institute in Monroe Township, New Jersey. Michelle has over 10 years of experience, both as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse.
She began her career in healthcare as a high school student, volunteering at a local community hospital. While volunteering there, she discovered how positive patient experiences could make a big difference in their health care and overall recovery. Since then, Michelle has made it her goal as an educator, advocate, and nurse practitioner to impact people’s lives in positive ways.
As a nurse practitioner, Michelle has observed the importance of optimism and how it plays a vital role in the treatment of illnesses. She also believes that by combining holistic approaches and optimism, it can improve patients’ quality of daily life. Michelle has worked in outpatient settings in internal medicine, as well as inpatient settings in telemetry units.
