Dr. Seelman & I connected right away, and she was very easy to talk to. The medicine she has prescribed to be has been tremendously helpful.

Dr. Seelman is an amazing doctor. Three of my four daughters have been treated by Dr. Seelman during their teen years. The oldest of the three daughters seen by Dr. Seelman, who was fourteen at the time, was unwilling to accept treatment.
We had seen three other doctors prior to Dr. Seelman. My daughter was very responsive to Dr. Seelman's treatment.
She is now twenty-two years old and still sees Dr. Seelman for medication management. She is a thriving senior in a very prominent art school.
I believe there are several qualities that contribute to Dr. Seelman's ability to SUCCESSFULLY treat her patients :
1. Dr. Seelman listens to her patients and incorporates their needs when determining a plan for intervention.
2. Dr. Seelman sincerely cares ! I have had conversations with a few of her other patients when we happened to be
leaving her office at the same time. Their sentiments were the same. This is a quality that is difficult to find.
3. Dr. Seelman goes beyond what one would normally expect from a doctor in a crisis situation. Dr. Seelman is very responsive and remains available until there is a resolution and the patient is safe.
4. Dr. Seelman will also find good treatment options when you think
there are no options left.
Our other two daughters have also had great success with Dr. Seelman. One of
the two daughters was also difficult to treat.
I can't say enough about Dr. Seelman. I feel very fortunate to know and have
my daughters treated by Dr. Seelman.

I am board certified in general psychiatry as well as child & adolescent psychiatry. I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention and focus issues, behavioral dysregulation and school difficulties.
I enjoy working with adults to assist with reclaiming a sense of balance and happiness. I treat adult ADHD, mood and anxiety problems and psychotic disorders. I work closely with families to assist with college transition issues - respecting the confidentiality of the young adult but also appreciating the need to work as a team for best results. As a child & adolescent psychiatrist, I work with individuals as well as families of children ages 5-years-old through young adulthood.
I view my relationships with individuals and families as collaborative with a strong emphasis on careful listening, good communication, and a clear understanding the concerns and priorities. My approach is designed to provide understanding of the issues from a pragmatic and solutions-oriented perspective that helps individuals and families gain a sense of control and confidence going forward.
