I like the staff and the Dr. Dr. Yao was very thorough and answered all of my questions. They did however, make a mistake calling the wrong pharmacy to fill my prescriptions.

Very nice, knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. I had a problem with eye redness for 7 years and she finally helped to alleviate some of the issues that bave plagued me for close to a decade. Highly reccomend.

Michelle Yao, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr. Yao received her bachelor’s degree in science from Beijing University and underwent pre-medicine studies at Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University. Dr. Yao received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed her residency in ophthalmology at Kansas University in Prairie Village, KS. Dr. Yao is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the Long Island Ophthalmic Society and the New York State Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Yao attends many continuing education courses including most recently the ASCRS winter conference, the Ocular Surgical News meeting, the AAO annual meeting, and Scientific Frontiers in the Practice of Comprehensive Eye Care at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

The staff was efficient; the wait was pretty short despite the Friday afternoon crowd. Doc was approachable and thorough, and explained things comprehensively.
One thing though: the building has terrible phone/ data reception. Be prepared to be cut off from the outside world when you wait.

A bit of a wait to get called in for the tests before I see the doctor. Afterwards about another 30 minute wait to see Dr. Yao who answered all of my questions and explained everything to me in clear terms.
