Dr. Blendea is very kind and thorough. She listens well, and she made me feel very comfortable with detailed explanations of her findings and what various things meant. Super patient with all my questions! She also asks about your life and family, like you're a person and not just a specimen to observe.
She also called me personally(!) at 6pm on a Monday to review the results of a blood test. That was a lovely touch.
Definitely recommend -- she knows what she's doing and I'm very happy with her care.

Dr Mihaela Blendea is an experienced Endocrinologist, with special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disease (under- and over- active thyroid, thyroid nodules and cancer, goiter, thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy, hyper- and hypo-calcemia - too high or too low calcium levels). She is ECNU certified, with special training in neck ultrasounds. In-office thyroid ultrasound and biopsies are performed, if deemed necessary. These procedures might not be always done at the first visit, since the ultrasound machine is sometimes used by other physicians. If you had thyroid ultrasounds in the past and you think you are due a follow-up, please mention that in your consult request and we will do our best to accommodate.
Other areas of interest: hirsutism (abnormal hair growth), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), pituitary disease (acromegaly, pituitary adenomas and high prolactin), adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease) and high cortisol levels (Cushing’s syndrome), adrenal nodules (Conn’s syndrome, pheochromocytoma), vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, prediabetes and diabetes.

I would highly recommend Dr. Blendea. Not only is she knowledgable but also has a wonderful bedside manner and actually takes the time to talk to her patients and work with them to find an optimal solution. I was hesitant to book on zoc doc bc there are not many who participate in the Boston area but I'm so glad I did.

Doctor Blendea is very sweet, personable, and knowledgable. My most recent endocrinologist had recently retired and I was worried I'd never find another doctor that I would genuinely feel comfortable with. Doctor Blendea not only evaluated my numbers with my husband and I, but mentioned upcoming devices to us including the bionic pancreas as well as information regarding diabetes and pregnancy considering I've always wanted to have kids of my own, but have always been worried about them experiencing complications. My A1C was quick and painless considering they only had to prick my finger and got a reading from that! That was definitely a pleasant surprise! I did however still had to get my blood work done (thyroid precaution lab work) but again, it was quick and painless! Not to mention they have an onsite lab! A+! Dr. Blendea definitely goes above and beyond! We couldn't have been happier or more pleased with our experience!! Thank you Dr. Blendea! :)

Dr. Blendea was wonderful! She was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. She made me feel so comfortable (and the doctor's office is not a place I usually feel comfortable). She was thorough and made sure I understood everything clearly - she answered all my questions and made sure I had a chance to express all my concerns. I would recommend to her to anyone!
