In 2016 she earned her Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice from Old Dominion University. She has experience in acute and outpatient settings. She has worked in emergency settings completing psychiatric acute evaluations and crisis management, along with working as a prescriber in a walk-in medication clinic. She also worked several years in a partial hospital program setting focusing on multiple treatment modalities to include Transcranial magnetic stimulation, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotropic medication management, and biofeedback. She has co-authored on research focusing on alternative treatment modalities for psychiatric treatment to include biofeedback. She has worked with the military population to include active duty, retirees, and family members. She has also worked in the outpatient setting providing continuing treatment. She has interest in Mood and Anxiety disorders. She is very focused on treating the whole patient utilizing a biopsychosocial approach.
