About Dr. Mitchell Matthews

Dr. Matthews was already reveling in chiropractic care during his very active Canadian childhood in Windsor, Ontario. His mother thought it would be beneficial for him to begin care as a toddler, but it wasn't until he became a high school football player that he noticed how much chiropractic care helped him after observing that his friends and teammates experienced many more aches and pains than he did. At that point, his interest in the human body, nutrition and chiropractic really took off. Wellness for Dr. Matthews means trying your hardest to live a healthy lifestyle, and he's inspired to do so by his favorite Wayne Gretzky quote: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." He maintains his own wellness by playing tennis, exercising and taking nature runs with his wife and son. He's also enjoys following the NFL and college football. After graduating from the University of Windsor with a BS in Human Kinetics, Dr. Mitchell earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He's also worked as an X-ray technician, training and supervising his peers. Dr. Matthews specializes in pre-natal care and pediatrics, striving to make this exciting life stage as pain-free as possible for expectant mothers and newborns. "I also love when parents see the benefit of getting their child checked to prevent any issues in the future." He also excels at enhancing performance and recovery for athletes.
