I really like how Dr. Madison explained everything to me about my diagnoses and what I needed to do to improve my vision. Also great staff who helped in picking my glasses and contacts, and accommodating my budget needs. So happy I found such a great doctor in town after my move here just over a year ago. Much better than any experience I've ever had with eye doctors/eyeglass stores.

Dr Mitra Madison completed her Bachelors from George Mason University in Fairfax,Va. She graduated in 2000 with her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In 2005 she joined her husband Dr Adam Madison in establishing Eye Care Doctors of Optometry, and continues to enjoy the everyday challenges of working at a medical practice and providing healthcare to the fine people of Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas.
In addition to practing full primary care, Dr Madison has developed several specialties including Ocular Disease, contact lenses and laser vision correction. She has attained systemic, topical and diagnostic therapeutic drug license privileges in Virginia.
Dr Madison enjoys her time with her beautiful son and daughter and her husband.

I had to wait 30 minutes before I was checked in. Thankfully, I had my paperwork prepared beforehand. The staff and the doctor need to work on their interpersonal skills, and all were just short of rude and unprofessional. My basic eye exam took less than 10 minutes, but the entire appointment took 1-1/2 hours because of the inefficiency.

My visit with Mitra Madison, OD was great! The wait was not long, everyone was very kind, helpful, and respectful. Dr. Mitra Madison was very nice as well, kept me informed on what she was doing during the exam and explained everything very clearly. Overall my experience was very good.

Very upsetting a lot of staff but no one to fit me for glasses more interested in giving me a test that my insurance did not cover I left with my rx to have someone else do therefore I have to pay for them

Doctor was fine but the price they charge is not up to industry standards way too expensive. The contact exam was twice as much as the glasses exam and of course you get charged for both. The whole appointment lasted 15 minutes. I can go to Americas Best and get a free exam. Frames are over priced only offered designer brands, when I asked if they had any other frames they told me no but I sat there earlier and overheard them talking yo another customer about a special frames they had which were cheaper. She didn't have insurance and I did so I was no offered a similar option to me. Not worth a return visit. When I asked for my prescription was told doctor had left without signing. Results... I walked out paying a very large amount and this is after insurance and received nothing in return. Gentleman working there said he would send me my prescription when doctor returned to the office two days later. wow is all I can say. I'm surprised you are still in business.
