Dr. Mitwally who is originally from Egypt has been practicing Reproductive Endocrinology & infertility in North America (USA & Canada) for about ten years and is known world wide for the invention of new fertility treatment called letrozole. Dr. Mitwally completed his medical school in Egypt in 1990. He was the top graduate of his school class. After finishing his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology, he moved to the US in 1997 to complete another residency in Ob-Gyn. at University at Buffalo, New York, and four fellowships in Reproductive Sciences, Reproductive Genetics & Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, at West Virginia University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Toronto and Wayne State University. He has published over 150 peer reviewed publications in scientific journals and has been serving as a scientific reviewer for several scientific journals. He was honored as the recipient of various prestigious awards including award of American Society of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Jerome J. Hoffman Prize of American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) Outstanding Paper Award, President’s Presenter Award of Society for Gynecological Investigation. Dr. Mitwally has special expertise in assisted reproduction, PCOS, endometriosis, as well as fertility preservation in cancer patients and reproductive genetics.
