I give Dr. Mohammad Al-Khudari a rating of F for Failure.
I had appointment with the doctor but the whole procedure was done by a tech who claimed he was a doctor from India but working as a tech. ( I don’t even know if he was certified as a tech. )
The doctor never looked at my eyes or sat down.
I have never seen a doctor before who has not examined his patient.
He relied on his tech’s opinion without even looking at his test results or data in the computer.
During my procedure several techs came in and out looking for something. I did not see any sense of privacy.
Here is what I experienced at Dr. Mohammad Al-Khudari’s office.
I had an appointment for 10:00 am on 10/17/2012. The receptionist gave me several forms to fill out that included my insurance coverage and my medical history. At about 10:35 I was called by a tech to examining room. My husband accompanied me. The tech performed several tests that included reading the eye chart and vision tests. I asked him if he was performing all these tests what is the doctor going to do? He did not respond just smiled. My husband asked him if he was an optometrist, he said no he is a doctor from India but not certified here and is working as a tech. He put some drops in my eyes to dilate and asked me to wait in another room and said the doctor will be with you in about 15 minutes. The tech came back in 15 minutes and took us to another examining room and performed some more tests. He entered all the information in computer. Dr. Al-Khudari came to the room, stood in the middle of the room and asked me questions about mine and my husband’s ethnicity. I told him that I was from Philippines and my husband was from Pakistan. He said he knows several couples like that. He asked the tech what did he find and the tech said everything was normal. The doctor told me that the tech will do couple more tests because Filipinos have high incidence of Glaucoma. I told him that there is no history of Glaucoma in my family. He instructed the tech to perform the tests anyway. The tech did the tests in another room. And after few minutes the doctor came and the tech said the test was negative. The doctor told us to come back in one month to repeat the test and walked us over to the receptionist’s desk. All during my visit the doctor never sat down or looked at my eyes.
I will cancel my next appointment.

I thought his exam was efficient, his assistant also did an exam to rule out glaucoma, she was very good too. My only critique is that why are there reading materials in the room while you're waiting for your eyes to dialate? I know there is a tv in there as well, it just seems silly.
