Dr. LaDouceur was fantastic with my 3 year old little boy! She talked to him very age appropriately and he adored her, which made the appointment go smoothly. I will be recommending her to anyone looking for an optometrist for themselves of their children. :-)

Dr. LaDouceur grew up in the beautiful Columbia Gorge, completed her Bachelors of Science at Oregon State University and received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University.
She completed her clinical internships at Lebanon Veteran's Hospital, Pennsylvania, Wenzhou Medical College, China, and Landstuhl Regional Army Medical Center, Germany. After graduating from Optometry School in 2008 she spent three years in the US Navy practicing in Japan at Naval Hospital Yokosuka, as an optometrist. She continues to serve as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserves.
Dr. LaDouceur really enjoys participating in humanitarian outreach missions. She has had the opportunity to provide eye care and glasses to rural villagers in Ghana, Guatemala and Sri Lanka.
She and her husband, Ryan, a teacher at Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences in Oregon City, moved from Japan to Oregon City because they love the small town feel. They enjoy meeting new people, exploring the Pacific NW, and spending time with their three young children.

Dr. LaDouceur is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. It was my 8 year old son's appointment and she was very warm and caring in all her interactions with him (and me). She is friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions without trying to hurry us out of the office. I'm glad we have such a great local eye doctor.

I felt that my visit with Dr. LaDouceur was both more professional and more personal than any exam I have received from an optometrist in the past. This was the first time I have been given the opportunity to look through a set of lenses matching the recommended prescription, and being able to see the difference made me realize how far overdue I was for this appointment.

Overall, it was a great visit. Friendly service and nice office! The best way to get to her office is to go down Main street and turn down the alley right next to her building and park behind the office in a parking lot. There are four parking spaces for her office. Then you can go in the back door and you are there!
