She was attentive and did everything she could to help solve my period issues. She took my IUD out right away that day without notice when I had been trying to get my other doctor to remove it for MONTHS. I am definitely happy with my service and Dr Moore’s dedication to women’s health. I have an appointment to go back next month for more tests and for her to see how I am doing — that’s hard to find.
Monica was great! She was very clear in explaining her process and was very thorough. She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole visit. No worries after leaving her office!
Everyone in the office was very friendly. Check in was a breeze since I completed everything through Zocdoc beforehand. Dr. Moore was wonderful! I was in and out in less than an hour!
She's so informative and straight to the point. I'm so thankful I saw her.
This was my second visit with Dr. Moore. While I believe she's thorough in her exams and puts you at ease during the visit, the organization of the office overall does her a disservice as a professional. The office staff is kind, but not particularly professional. It's impossible to get questions answered or a call back from the doctor if you leave a message with the front desk. It's been 5 months since my first visit and the staff informed me that I have outstanding bills that were not covered by insurance, but I still haven't received any details regarding what I owe.
Extremely professional and put me at ease immediately. She addressed all my concerns in a very efficient and comforting manner. I highly recommend anyone in need of her services.
Long wait. Slow to get test results.
The office staff and doctor were very professional. The doctor was very personable.
She was not warm or welcoming. She didn't smile once. Only time I got a chuckle out of her was when she asked me if I smoked and I told her how many times a day (as if she was ridiculing me). She was yawning through each sentence as if she didn't sleep in days. She did not congratulate me on my pregnancy. She was not nice and inviting. Her staff on the other hand was the opposite. They were nice and engaging. They congratulated me on my new bundle of joy upon leaving the office.
She was as matter of fact as I needed. She made sure to check up on my health habits in addition to my exam. She was very kind and non judge mental
I've been seeing Dr. Moore for 15 years. I absolutely love the care and concern she provides for me.
I made an appointment for inconsistent period and spotting. The doctor did an ultrasound and said I have PCOS. She also said the spotting could be due to my IUD or from an infection. She said she'd prescribe me some antibiotics to see if it helps, and then drew my blood to do some blood work to look into my PCOS. All was well up to that point, but then the following happened: 1. I was told to expect a call with the blood results in the next few days. They forgot to give me my prescription as I left (but I figured I'd just call them and let them know about it, no big deal). 2. I didn't hear back from them for a week. I called the office and asked them, and they didn't even know who I was. She told me the doctor had gotten the lab results (which normal offices tell you within 24 hours), but hadn't gotten a chance to see it yet. She'd call me back today. 3. I didn't hear back. So I called the next day asking about it and also asked about the antibiotics prescription. The front desk lady told me that the doctor just "signed off" and she didn't get a chance to ask her (no idea how that happens when there is only one door for an exit). She would call me back at "5:30 -- no, five thirty SIX." I felt a little slighted, but I said OK and waited. 4. No call back. I call again the next day, and the front desk lady gives the phone to the doctor, who doesn't know who I am. I reminded her that I was the one with the IUD and that she had told me I had PCOS. She snapped back, verbatim, "Excuse me, I see patients every day so I can't remember all the details of who you are." I was taken aback. They didn't even give me a chance to talk. She told me my lab results, by phone, and then offered no solutions afterwards. Just, "Here you go, your lab results," and then telling me that I should go on antibiotics. I said OK, and she said she'd email me the lab results today and contact me about the prescription as well. 5. I didn't hear back, AGAIN. I waited an extra day because I had a job interview and didn't want to think about it that day. But today, the day afterwards, I called and suddenly, the front desk is now an "answering service" so they don't know the doctor's schedule, doesn't know when she'll be in again, doesn't know *anything* apparently. She just said that she'd give my message to the doctor and that is ALL she can do. It also sounded like the same front desk lady. I have NEVER seen a group of "professional" healthcare providers care SO LITTLE about their patients. It feels like they want people in for the first visit, and they don't care about retention. I have waited almost two weeks now for a simple email of my blood test results and a prescription. It has taken me multiple phone calls, and I have only been able to reach the doctor once. They have gone back on their word multiple times to get back to me, and I am fed up now. This was my first visit, and I won't be coming back again, despite STILL not having my blood lab results. I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this place. AVOID unless you are looking just solely for a visit without any prescriptions or blood work. (FYI there are reviews below me that show similar experiences. I wish I had listened to those and not come here).
She's been my Dr. for almost 10 years and the quality of care has not declined at all.
It was very awesome and she was truly professional. I got my needs taken care of right away. I felt comfortable and well taken care of.
The staff was incredible! They were very thought and very personable yet perffessional. I would go back just for the amazing staff. However, I was trying to explain how bad I can get with my condition but he kept down playing it. It really is not as common as he thought because iv never ran into anyone better than me and diagnosed by 2 other doctors but he did not take it seriously. That being said he had amazing advice on how to fix my skin and was great at explaining the procedures.
Very professional and informative. My new favorite Doctor!
She was cold and I got the feeling that she was in a bad mood. Also, the office is not well kept but they do have some nice technology. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
You'll be hard pressed to find a doctor (or service professional in general) with a better bedside manner than Dr. Moore. She's insightful, knowledgeable, and conveys information in a way that is easy to understand. I was so scared to go to the OBY-GNY that I didn't until I was 29 and Dr. Moore was my first and last! She'll be my doctor until she retires
First and foremost, I liked Dr. Moore - she's knowledgable and friendly. I would've continued to be a patient of hers, but my experience after my appt has been nothing but negative. To preface, I work in a medical office, so I am aware of what is and isn't appropriate to request from staff. This is my personal experience with this office and I honestly wouldn't recommended anyone going there due to her administration staff. I've felt upset and disrespected as a patient because 1) it's very difficult to get a hold of anyone at the office and they never return voicemails (e.g., I've called 6 times and 2 voicemails in a business day and reached no one; my pharmacy and insurance company have tried to reach them multiple times on separate occasions during business hours and couldn't get through to anyone); 2) if and when you do reach someone, they're not very helpful with questions; and 3) they don't do a very good job of following-through with requests (i.e., the MA had agreed 3 times to send me my lab results and I still have yet to receive them 3 months later...) or lab result follow-ups (I didn't hear anything back regarding my lab results, and I had to call continuously to get an update). I know this was a very harsh review, but I don't want another woman to go through what I did and to feel as upset and frustrated as I am.
Dr. Moore is fantastic, helpful, sweet, and understands the value of your time as a patient. The office was a little short-staffed today, but all employees were helpful, smiling, and made the wait time fly by.
Dr. Monica was professional, knowledgeable and had a great beside manner. However, her receptionist didnt tell her that I was waiting and I was sitting there far longer than I should have been. Maybe 20 mins plus, waiting to be seen. No knock on the doctor. When she heard I was waiting, she came in right away. I liked her a lot.
Great bedside manner in all front, from the receptionists to the nurses I interacted with. Everyone was lovely and informative.
Dr. Moore herself was very nice and helpful. I appreciated how much one on one time she spent with me. The practice used a machine to take vitals that took a fairly long time and felt unnecessary for a gynecologists office. Neither the doctor or the tech were able to explain what the exhaustive results meant fully.
She was very kind. The office was clean and very modern. Every thing I wanted for my appointment she did. I'll definitely go back.
Dr. Moore was great! She made me feel a little more at ease with coming in to her office. She's very personable and friendly. Highly recommend seeing her again.
Dr. Moore was very professional and kind. She answered all of my questions and overall was very helpful. The actual exam was very speedy. There was an issue with ZocDoc not the office, that the office had not received my paperwork or appointment schedule from ZocDoc and so it took the office a bit longer to check me in, but it was definitely not their fault. They handled the mixup gracefully and check in was very smooth once we had figured everything out. Overall i would highly recommend Dr. Moore and her office and will be going back.
she was nice and personable. The staff was also nice and attentive. I intend to use her moving forward.
Dr. Moore, as well as her staff, were extremely professional, friendly, and thorough. I've already recommended them to friends!
After reading the ZocDoc reviews, I decided to give Dr. Moore a try as a new patient. Shortly before my appointment, however, I came across some bad Yelp reviews and was concerned. After my visit for a standard annual exam, I want to share my positive experience at Dr. Moore's office. She is not necessarily warm and fuzzy but she was perfectly nice and made me as comfortable as possible (I strongly dislike visiting the OB-GYN in general). The office is cozy, which I prefer to bright white walls and harsh lighting. The nurse and desk staff were very friendly. I am waiting on my test results so I can't attest to the speed/handling regarding that but my in-person visit was good.
As always Dr. Moore, as well as all of the women working there, were not only professional and respectful but also kind and enjoyable. It seemed like they may have been having some technical difficulties with their computer but the young woman at the front, Melissa, went above and beyond to make things run easily and smoothly. And of course the phlebotomist who works there is simply put a gem! She can make you feel comfortable and relaxed WHILE TAKING YOUR BLOOD. Quite honestly every individual in that office makes me feel at home and I have no intention of ever going anywhere else for medical services of the kind. If there were a million stars to give the ladies at this office deserve them all!
She is a really friendly and honest doctor. She answered all my questions and her office got back to me with test results in a very timely manner. I recommend this office and this doctor!
She was very "to the point" and very professional.
I really enjoyed the fact that she was very knowledgable and shared so much with me. I walked away feeling hopeful and very informed about my body and the reason for my visit. I also enjoyed that Dr. Moore was friendly, easy to talk with and very professional at the same time. She made me feel comfortable. Her staff were friendly and great as well! I had an overall excellent experience.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful, the wait time was very short, and the appointment was quick too. Mostly everyone is nice and friendly but I could have felt more comfortable
Very professional and very supportive. Dr. Moore and her assistants were a pleasure to have and very helpful. Would recommend this office to anyone!
I filled my paperwork out online but had to do it again at the office. The receptionist was very uninviting, and the waiting area was cold. It turns out that the entire office was cold and being heated by individual space heaters. I was a new patient, but no one took the time to introduce themselves or create any patient/doctor relationship. The diagnosis was unclear, and I feel unsupported and unsure of the next steps I should take for my health. I will not be returning here and would never recommend it.
She was nice and explained everything thoroughly. Her staff was nice as well ! I'll be back.
The office is a little small, and you could hear the receptionist telling patients private information. But other than that, I felt very well taken care of. And I like the later appointment times.
She is awesome, friendly, and informative!
WOW. Dr Moore was not only professional but also quite caring and non judgmental! This was my first pap EVER and she could tell I was nervous so she explained every step of the way and kept me distracted by talking to me like A REAL HUMAN. The same goes for every person I met in the office. From the receptionist to the phlebotomist to Dr. Moore herself, I felt welcomed and cared for all the way through the appointment! I will definitely be returning here and suggest this office wholeheartedly!
I highly recommend this OB/GYN physician. Made an appointment with her after seeing my primary physician for a recurring problem and she immediately detected the problem and I felt so much better knowing what was happening. Its definitely true, "Every woman needs a OB/GYN in her life". Good job, Dr. Monica Moore!!!!
Dr Moore is very thorough and friendly. I am a new patient and have recommended Dr Moore to anyone that has asked.
She made me feel comfortable. I will go back.
I brought my mom in for an ultrasound to this clinic and ended up losing some money and some dignity. The doctor was helpful but I would not recommend this clinic to others because their administrative staff has been unbelievably disorganized. I have been calling for over three weeks to ask for the report and an itemized bill. First they said the report is not ready, then they said they have sent it, then they said it didn’t reach me because their email is ‘broken’. Finally this morning they said unless the doctor says so they won’t release anything. I literally cried after they also yelled at me on the phone while telling me how busy they were and flat out refused to give an itemized bill saying they “don’t do that”. I have given up on ever getting the report for which we have already paid. Never going back.
She was very thorough and her staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Moore is excellent about talking through options and making you feel comfortable with your decisions.
Dr. Moore performed my exam quickly and efficiently but I didn't feel rushed or like I was just another insurance claim. She is compassionate and tries to understand every angle of the patient's medical situation.
Dr. Moore found a cyst on ovary and I had surgery to remove it. (I give her credit for finding it when other doctors missed it) She doesn't seem to trust her patients so I have a hard time trusting her. I got to the hospital for my surgery and all my paperwork said my cyst was on my left side when it was actually on my right side. Luckily I caught it. Every time I went in for a follow up appointment it was like I had never been there before. The nurses didn't remember me, they didn't have a chart for me, they didn't know why I was there, they asked the same questions every time. The office seems disorganized like other patients have commented. She told me she would take care of a lab bill that was not accepted by my insurance and she never did. I just called a collections agency and took care of it myself so it didn't affect my credit.
She is awesome! Straight to the point, friendly, and makes you feel comfortable.
I will probably not be coming back to this clinic. While the clinic is not terrible, it is not great either. The wait time was about an hour and the front desk seemed disorderly (could not find the paperwork I submitted so I had to re-fill). During my exam, the door was left open and the medical assistants were walking in and out. Definitely not happy about that. Was told that script would be sent over to pharmacy but when I went to pick it it was not there. I called the office back but by the time I called the office it was closed for the weekend, had to go the weekend without treatment. Also never called me back with results after a week.
She seemed kind of busy and in a rush. But very informative nonetheless! I will definitively return.
She was very thorough and informative. Made me feel very comfortable.
Dr. Moore is a very thorough doctor. I have been seeing her for more than 6 years. I would highly recommend her for your obstetric and gynological care.
Dr. Moore was welcoming and knowledgable as I would have hoped. Look forward to seeing her in the future for my needs.
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical after reading some bad reviews after I scheduled a appointment with Dr. Moore. I am so glad I went. Dr. Moore was very thorough. I instantly felt comfortable with her when she walked into the room. She immediately addressed any concerns I had and addressed any concerns she had as well. I can honestly say after searching for two years, I have finally found a gynecologist I am happy with!!
She charged me for additional services I didn't receive. The trainee was sweet but unknowedgable and unsupervised. I felt like my appointment was an inconvenience.
Very direct, which some people may not like, and the wait time can be inconsistent. However, the first time I visited her, mentioned some discomfort that I thought wasn't a big deal, but Dr. Moore wanted to have a closer look. Turns out that I needed surgery a few weeks later! I think the problem had been around for a while, but Dr. Moore was the only doctor to insist on further investigation. So, yes, she's direct and short and to the point - but she's also great at diagnosing and fixing a problem - which at the end of the day is the most important thing, so I put my trust in her and recommend her!
Dr. Moore and her team are amazing. She is friendly and easy to talk to. They were also super helpful explaining things to me.
Dr. Moore was great! She was very professional and no-nonsense, but also as approachable and friendly as any doctor should be. She made me feel very comfortable, and I'll definitely be coming back to her for my next appointment!
I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect for my first appointment, but all of the staff was very professional and polite. I felt comfortable and welcome.
Love my doctor.
Very prompt and efficient, Dr. Moore values patient time and is respectful no matter what the issue.
Dr. Moore is a capable medical professional. I saw her for my first pap smear and pelvic exam. I am confident that she performed her medical duties to the highest level of proficiency. However--and I noticed other patients had similar responses--she would benefit from a more engaged interaction with patients. She asked me a cursory, obligatory question about what I did for a living, and proceeded with a quick and get-over-with attitude. Which, mind you, may be preferable in some cases. However, I did have a few questions that she didn't give me time to ask.
Very very sweet doctor, mad things easy and fast. The staff was very kind as well.
Great friendly staff!!! Everyone was well educated in their fields and did everything to make me feel comfortable. This is my first pregnancy so I was not sure of what to expect but I was impressed.
Felt like a quick, generic appointment, which is what I wanted for my schedule. Her staff was very friendly, quick, and skilled. Dr. Moore forgot to introduce herself, and got right to business when she came in the room, which was funny given the nature of a gynecological exam.
Staff was courteous this time. She prescribed the antibiotic medication that made me feel better. I will continue to see her for my ob-gyne needs
I see that Monica has mixed reviews. Most people like her a lot but some have had problems with chair side manner, unprofessional office visits, etc. My first visit with her I was really impressed with her and her staff. Service was excellent. On my second visit, it was completely the opposite. No staff was in the office, just the doc and I was rushed in and herded out. Her response with me was very cold. I have missed a few appointments but I am currently working with her regarding a few abnormal paps. We will see what happens on my 3rd visit.
This was a very good visit and I look forward to visiting again. I felt completely comfortable and Dr. Moore was extremely professional and polite.
Very efficient in and out once new patient stuff was completed
Quick visit. Professional and kind.
Very professional, answered all of my questions, and able to get an early appointment time - no complaints!
She was great!! Very gracious, I w
I thought she was a very good Doctor, she took time to address my concerns in a manner that I understood. The staff was kind and professional and for a first visit it was very timely. I will definitely recommend her and return.
Very nice from the front desk girl to the dr. So easy to talk to, understanding and knowledgeable. Also a good location.
Monica Moore took a phone call while she was with me. I left out of there shocked and confused.....
I saw Dr. Moore for an annual exam and then a follow-up exam. both times the office was dreadfully unorganized and it was nearly a month before I received my results. Then when I finally called to get my results it was all excuses about short staffing and someone else having entered my phone number incorrectly. When I presented for my follow-up exam the doctor had NO IDEA why I was there and had clearly not even reviewed my chart - I was there for a follow-up due to abnormal results and she didn't even take 2 minutes to discuss next steps and answer any concerns. I will not be seeing her again.
I felt as though Dr. Moore cared about me and was concerned with the issues that I wanted to talk with her about. I am truly satisfied with the service I received.
Dr. Moore was great. She listened; she took my concerns seriously and she explained a game plan that we mutually agreed on. This is my first visit but I think I've finally found my doctor.
I felt that she was very rushed while with me, and I didn't know what was going on. She prescribed me some medicine and didn't tell me what it was it or how to take it properly. In fact I had to ask the secretary if she was prescribing me anything, and she over heard it and said "oh yeah, call that in too." I left there feeling uneasy and unsure because she didn't explain anything. She also didn't do a full exam like an OB/GYN is supposed to. I wouldn't recommend going to her.
Dr. Moore is very easy to talk to. She's a doll. She did not judge me and I felt very comfortable with her. She explains everything in language I can understand. Absolutely LOVED her!!!!!!!!!!!!
The office has been very unorganized during my several months as a patient. I
Great experience...very knowledeable
I was a little nervous after reading these reviews but the entire team was awesome! Service as soon as I came in. Dr. Moore was great and wasn't all doctory. (i.e. Too many technical terms, higher than though attitude) Nurses showed concern in me and were a great connector to doctor/patient relationship. They even helped me through my blood test as I hate needles. I don't usually write reviews but my experience and what others have written were totally different.
Office location is great and easy to get to. The office staff was very nice and welcoming but in my opinion Dr. Moore is not so great at attention to detail or bed side manner, i wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but after a couple of visits i can confirm this is how I really feel. When I first went to Dr Moore I had no idea what to expect from this type of doctor, I was a virgin and was looking for guidance. I personally feel she could have been more nicer when a patient is nervous about getting a pap smear and an ultra sound. Also, more importantly I felt discouraged when I asked Dr. Moore what I can expect to happen to my body if I start birth control. I understand everyone's different but as a first timer, I really looked to her for guidance. I also didn't know you should visit this type of doctor every year (this could be my own ignorance but again, I was looking to Dr. Moore for guidance) - she never mentioned that. Additionally, I feel that in the office they actually don't keep very good track of patient records: After I was first put on birth control they told me to come back after X amount of days to check my blood pressure. I came back as requested, paid my copay and then they asked "why did I come in" after i had told them what they told me at my previous appt. Even while taking my blood pressure they seemed still a little confused as to why I was there and I honestly I can't recall them asking me to set up a follow up from that point on. Being a virgin I never got the HPV shot and mentioned it to Dr. Moore, she said it's fine b/c I'm not sexually active - but I mentioned that to my primary care doctor and she was astounded that I was advised I didn't really needed it at the moment. My primary care doctor said it doesn't matter - "get the shot anyway and right away "- I almost missed the window in age to get the shot Like I mentioned, I really wanted to give Dr. Moore a shot but my repeated experiences with her aren't 100% positive so I wouldn't personally recommend her. But maybe perhaps you should try for yourself and see if you'll have a better experience.... Cheers!
Dr. Moore is very knowledgable and is an amazing doctor. I never have to wait very long to see here, can usually get an appointment the next day and her staff is very friendly.
Appointments seemed to be overbooked. The staff was nice and Dr. Moore is knowledgable.
I thought this office visit was horrible! I was dealing with some sensitive issues regarding my health and she was not concerned at all. She rescheduled one appointment and cancelled another one all together! This was the WORST experience ever and I would never recommend her.
Very straight forward and a warm environment. I highly recommend Dr. Moore, she's great and so is her staff.
I've seen Dr. Moore three times already and the service I've received has been rushed and a bit uninformed. I had an emergency on my first visit and she did not clearly explain to me what my condition was, but gave me the right meds to heal it right away. Will be looking for another doctor.
The office was really nice and everyone was helpful. For a first appointment I think I would have wanted it one a little more warm. Overall it was an in and out appointment that gave me everything I wanted. I'm new to Chicago so the tech even helped me look up a RX near me so I can start to have a regular pharmacy location! 4 out of 5 stars!
She's slow getting to you and fast getting you out which isn't good, but as I write this I'm sitting in her office....waiting and waiting and waiting
I've been a patient of Dr.Moore's for almost 10 years because of her compassionate nature and professionalism.
She is efficient. Does what is required, not cold but not overly warm. I liked getting in and out. She is very competent
Excellent, prompt, professional
I had my first ever annual exam with Dr. Moore and she was great. She was knowledgeable, patient, and explained every step of the exam.
She was very gentle, caring and patient with me. I felt comfortable with her right away.
I love Dr. Moore! I've been coming to her for a few years now and she always has very pratical advice, in addition to the medical advice.
The staff at this office was unprofessional - when one of the women from the office called me (at 7:30 am) regarding my appointment (after setting my appointment on ZocDoc), she wasn't even prepared to talk to me. This gave me a bad feeling about the practice, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt she was just having a rough morning. I felt like the doctor, while not unprofessional, was condescending to me, possibly due to my age. The office itself felt cold, and as someone who hates going to the gyno, it made me even more uncomfortable about being there. I would not recommend this doctor.
Staff was very courteous and friendly. I told them about my concerns and they were addressed. The doctor was very thorough and went through extra measure to be sure I was comfortable.
She billed me wrong 2x and I was in a long battle to get this corrected. My sister and friends experienced again. I would never return back. Super unprofessional.
Dr. Moore was really personable and made me feel regally comfortable as a new patient.
Doctor is highly competent but not chatty or overly friendly(which is fine.)Efficient, and no BS. Lady who takes blood for lab work is fantastic - no pain, got the vein on the first try.
She knew her stuff and was very professional. Cold hands though, but it was freezing in Chicago the day I had my appointment!
She performs very through examinations.
I have been going to Dr. Moore for years. She is personable, professional, and has a great bedside manner. She listen to my concerns and provides knowledgeable answers to questions. I trust her.
She listened to my issues, and took her time with me.
I felt like all they cared about was money. They charge you for almost every request you can think of. They never called me back with regards to my results from my pap smear or sent me any type or reminder notifications about a check-up being due. The atmosphere was really "cold" without much personality or hospitality.
Dr. Monica Moore was efficient and experienced, however she is not very friendly and could work on her manners since she was very rude. On the other hand, her assistant is very nice and helpful.
She made me feel really comfortable which is very important for obgyn. She also had a manner that did not make me feel intimidated.
Dr.Moore is a great physician. She was thorough and I never felt rushed.
Dr. Moore was very pleasant and helpful.
She took her time and didn't rush through my questions or the examination.
The whole expereince was less than comfortable. When i got there the receptionist was on the phone and and loud talking to what appeared to not be a patient. The doctor was more concernd about what she was going to have for lunch than the patients. The procedure she completed on me left me in so much pain. The assistant tried to take my blood and had a hard time locating my vein. So did the doctor. After 30-45 painful hours was really glad to get out there.
very good welcoming professional team
