Dr. Traube is an excellent gastroenterologist as far as his medical skills - his bedside manner could be improved as he doesn’t like it when patients ask too many questions. However if you can get past his somewhat brusque manner, he is a very caring doctor and I do recommend him highly.

He’s a good Dr, but his bedside manor could use some work. I’d go back and will just continue to shrug off his comments lol I’d like to repeat he is a good Dr. but if you’re thin skinned, you won’t like him.

Dr. Traube is excellent. During my first visit, He was very patient with me and spent quality time in listening to me explaining my concerns and symptoms. He is not like other doctors who tends to rush and finish you as soon as possible.

Dr. Traube was awesome! He spoke to me clearly and explained all my symptoms and conditions. He took his time and wasn't in a rush. It is amazing to see a Dr. who gives his patients time in NYC.
He was also fun to talk to!

The office of Dr. Traube is state of the art. They are such cheery people who are serious about their job and helping patients. Dr. Traube himself is treating me with inclusion and meticulous care. I am very pleased to have found such a gem. I know my condition is safe in his hands.

He spent almost 45 minutes with me to get a comprehensive overview of my medical history/stomach issues in order to come up with the best course of treatment for me. Really took his time and was very knowledgeable!

He spent an incredible amount of time with me, asking great questions to help determine how best to treat what's making me not feel well.

Second visit with Dr. Traube was good, as was the first. In addition to having excellent diagnostic intuition, he has a great sense of humor and made a potentially-difficult visit enjoyable.

I had scheduled an 8AM appointment. Doctor strolled in at 8:20 and didn't appear phased that he had a patient with a scheduled appointment waiting. 8:30 came and passed and I was still sitting in the waiting room. I understand appointments can be delayed, but it appeared this doctor didn't even know my appointment was on his schedule. Not sure if that's the fault of the office or the doctor himself. Needless to say, I won't be using his services.

Dr. Traube spent more time with me than most docs do. Shocking! He asked detailed questions and clearly had a lot of experience.

Terrible! Terrible! Try to get rid of this medics center at any cost. I have been to his office for several time, waiting time is at least half hour, and sometimes even more than an hour. Also, I took a breath test one month ago, after that, I called them twice to try to talk to the doctor regarding the result, but the doctor never called me back. So please please keep yourself away from him.

Seems to be a good guy. I did wait along time. However I was an add on. He's actually very busy. So I understand that was lucky to get in.
More than 1 year agoInitials hidden
When I was actually being seen the doctor was great. Listened and asked questions, tried to get to the root of the problem. My main complaint is that my wait time was over 1hr20min just to see the doctor, and then I had to wait another 20 minutes in the examination room. Not a big deal if they had been able to communicate the delay since I rushed to be there on time, but I felt my time was wasted.
December 29, 2014Initials hidden
I was very happy with my visit besides the wait time, which I honestly think was Zoc Doc's fault as my name was not in their system, so I was essentially treated as a walk in.

Dr Traube is clearly very experienced and knows what he's talking about. His approach unlike some doctors is not to order unnecessary procedures. He takes the time to thoroughly interview you the first time to decide the best treatment. Unfortunately he doesn't perform any gastroendoscopies in the office, that is done at the nyu facility so it might be more pricy compared to a private practice, you may want to check with your insurance co first if you have a high deductible. Managing gastointestinal symptoms is a long process so it helps to have an experienced professional by your side rather than just a doctor who is ready to pump you full of pills and order expensive tests. Good luck!
