The doctor was knowledgeable, very friendly and listened and understood my problems. He was very skillful in getting the ear wax from both ears and gave me good advice regarding my dry throat.

My elderly mother was the patient today. She began losing her hearing for some reason and I took her to be examined by Dr Mittleman. In the past, I have been to Dr Mittleman's office a few years prior, and the great experience back then was exactly the same experience my mother had with him in her appointment. She mentioned to me how pleasant that she felt he was, and she was initially afraid to go... however, all her fears vanished as soon as the doctor said Hello, with a big smile. He has a very patient attitude, something that is not very common for doctors these days sadly. You can tell he has a love of helping people and he loves what he does. He offers you a small candy. LOL which is so sweet! He not only checks your problems out in gentle manner, but he also educates you on ways to prevent them from happening again. I think I can speak for us both and say it was the best experience ever. I rate it 10 out of 10, we would go back again!

Dr. Mittleman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University in 1971. He proceeded to complete his Medical School training at the Medical College of Wisconsin, receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1975. Dr. Mittleman completed his Internship in General Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City in 1976 and followed this with his residency in Otolaryngology at NYU-Bellevue Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident at both Bellevue and the VA Medical Center. He has served the Queens community for the past 30 years, building an outstanding reputation for his skills in all aspects of General Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and is a Senior Ear, Nose, and Throat Attending at both New York Medical Hospital of Queens and Flushing Hospital. His practice is noted not only for its high level of competence but also for the highest level of compassion. He continues to lecture and teach residents. His office staff is always available to care for all your needs.
