Originally from the Dominican Republic, Dr.Regina Marranzini is double boarded in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency in Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida where she served as chief resident physician. She did her fellowship in geriatric medicine in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She is the medical director of Geriatrics for Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood, Florida where she created and established an Acute Care of Elders Unit (ACE unit), a Geriatric Emergency room, and a Geriatric Patient Advocacy Program. She is presently establishing a Geriatric Fracture program for the hospital system as well.
She enjoys teaching medical students and is an assistant professor of medicine for Miller School of Medicine/ Jackson Memorial System. Her hobbies include marine biology, cooking, ad spending time with her family, especially her newborn, baby Leon.
