I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment and was not seen until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment which was not ideal since I had my 2 month old with me. However, once I was seen Naomi was incredibly kind and caring. She made me feel at ease and like I had been seeing her for a long time although it was my first visit. Her assistant was also very kind and welcoming. Besides the wait time I had a great experience. I do think there are too many chairs for such a small office though!

More about Naomi Travers, NP
Naomi Travers is a nurse practitioner with extensive experience in both the medical and cosmetic dermatology fields. Before starting her nursing career, Naomi worked as a newspaper reporter for the Monterey County Herald. In 2001, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialty in geriatrics from the highly esteemed University of California, San Francisco. After completing her training, Naomi worked for three years as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at University of California, Davis Medical Center.
She then moved to the world’s epicenter of skin cancer disease, Australia, and began working as a registered nurse at the well regarded Skin and Cancer Foundation, Australia. During her nine years in that role, Naomi received expert training in various dermatological specialties, including Mohs surgery, laser and cosmetic treatments, phototherapy and management of general skin conditions.
Naomi came back to her home state of California in 2015, and soon joined the Dermatology Center of La Jolla, where she is an integral part of our medical staff team. She lives in Poway with her husband and two daughters.
She can’t resist petting any dog or tickling any baby that comes into her path.
