Dr. Fanter is a dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and foot and ankle. After graduating from Midwestern University's medical school as class salutatorian, Dr. Fanter went on to train in orthopaedic surgery at Ohio University's affiliated hospitals in Toledo, OH. His subspecialty training includes a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA and a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at The Grand Rapids Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Fanter is deeply involved in research and is an active member of multiple professional societies, including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Fanter also volunteers for Midwestern University's Apollo Mentoring Program.
