Dr. Schamberg joined CGIM in 2009 after six years of training at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. His practice focuses on a diverse range of digestive conditions including colorectal cancer screening an he uses advanced technology for the removal of large polyps that would otherwise require surgery.
Dr. Schamberg is co-Medical Advisor Chair for the Fairfield/Westchester chapter of the CCFA (Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America). He lectures regularly to patients and families on advances in the field of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and has made caring for patients with IBD a main focus of his clinical practice.
Dr. Schamberg is sub-specialty trained in ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Radiofrequency Ablation for Barrett's Esophagus. These procedures allow for minimally invasive solutions and often avoidance of surgery for patients with benign, precancerous or cancerous conditions of the GI tract.
Dr. Schamberg has been honored as Teaching Attending of the Year by Greenwich Hospital in 2010. He was the Greenwich Hospital nominee for the Migida Award in 2012, honoring an outstanding physician under age 40. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys fitness, golf, and spending time with his family.

Busy office with a small office atmosphere. Attentive staff & very pleased with the office as well as doctor. Doctor addressed my concerns & questions, made me feel comfortable with his recommended treatment.
