Great experience. Having been to different thyroid doctors for 10 years with little insight into my symptoms, Dr. Jayani shared new perspective and approach to treatment. She outlined immediate next steps as well as the longer term thinking for my care. She was also really up to date on the latest research on plant based diet as well which I truly appreciated!

Dr. Nisha Jayani is board-certified in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes. With over 11 years of treating patients with thyroid conditions, she prides herself on getting to know each patient deeply and working together as partners to help each person achieve their health goals. She graduated from the Medical University of Lublin and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Westchester Medical Center at New York Medical College. She completed her Endocrinology fellowship at the University of Arizona where she was named chief endocrinology fellow.
As an endocrinologist, she is an expert in treating thyroid disease and discovering other issues that can masquerade as thyroid disease. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing with her long-haired dachshund, Spice, and practicing calligraphy.
What makes you passionate about treating patients with hypothyroidism:
I am passionate about treating patients with hypothyroidism because as an endocrinologist with expertise in the field, I know I can help clear the air around their diagnosis and symptoms that may or may not be related. I have already been able to help so many of my patients in the past and know that there are many more that I will help.

My approach to treating hypothyroid patients is to listen. I listen to all the symptoms they have and consider all the possibilities, then evaluate for those possibilities.

DR. Jayani, Was not only so helpful with helping me understand my Thyroid and how it works but also she gave me so much insight on simple things that I have not been doing to help my issues. She is truly one off the most knowledgeable Thyroid experts I have talked to in the past 7 years that I have had problems. Also she is so sweet, caring and funny too! Would give her 10 stars if I could!!

For the first time I have the feeling that I have a doctor who can own my care for hypothyroidism. My PCP and OBGYN were not always aligned on the best treatment for me.

My condition was managed mostly with medication, and that's fine. But for the first time, I get a lot of advice outside of meds - diet, reducing stress, etc. There isn't much of that out there unfortunately.
