Dr. Nisha Patel received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003. Although she was raised in New Jersey most of her life, she and her husband decided to move to Texas in 2005 and have lived here ever since. Dr. Patel enjoys practicing full scope optometry, using her therapeutic and glaucoma certification to treat a wide variety of eye diseases as well as perform comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts. Patients appreciate her warm bedside manner and detailed explanations regarding their exam findings. When she is not seeing patients Dr. Patel spends time with her husband and two young children. She is also an active member of her temple, often involved in charity work such as organizing the vision screening at the temple’s annual health fair. There she recruits optometrists from across DFW to assist in screening patients who may not have access to health care for potential vision disorders and ocular disease. Dr. Patel is also an avid reader so you just might bump into her at your local bookstore drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying the latest Michael Connelly novel.
