From the first discovery call, I knew that Nkem was the right therapist for me. The conversation was all about what my goals are for counseling rather than her "selling" herself to me. She prioritizes the "marriage" as her client and does not show bias to either the man or the woman. She's gives me the accountability I need with the spirit of grace!

From a young age, I've always known that I wanted to work with people in the helping capacity; what better way to do this than by honoring people's stories in a therapeutic setting?
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree in 2012. While obtaining my Masters Degree in Psychology with emphasis in individual, marriage and family therapy, I taught middle school English and Science . In my final year of graduate school, I worked as an intern at a Psychiatric hospital for a year and upon graduation in 2016, I got hired as the unit therapist for the adolescent boys unit and later, the dual adult diagnosis unit where I was part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients in our facility.
I enjoy working with adult clients to talk about everyday situations and happenstances and explore the personal and professional goals they want to work on. I also work with my clients by creating a safe space to talk about hard topics most people shy away from that eventually brings about beneficial ripple effects in different relationship dynamics and family conflict interactions.
Working with you as my client/s to provide couples, marriage or individual therapy would be my pleasure every session.
