Dr. Desai is a resident-trained optometrist and is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida. She has been practicing optometry for the last 10 years in the Atlanta area and specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease.
She earned her BS degree in Microbiology at the University of Florida and received her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed her post-graduate training in Ocular Disease Residency Program at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA. Dr. Desai received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the cornea and retina.
Dr. Desai is a member of the American Optometric Association. She is experienced with contact lens and specialty contact lens fitting (RGPs, multifocals/bifocals and keratoconus), pre- and post-operative LASIK and cataract surgeries, foreign body removals and family practice optometry. She prides herself on developing a warm relationship with her patients and thoroughly evaluating their visual system to provide the best corrective lenses and/or diagnose abnormalities that may compromise their vision.
Dr. Desai lives in Johns Creek with her husband, son and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, watching movies and entertaining friends.

Besides being located in a convenient location, Total Vision goes above & beyond when it comes to customer service & providing services. I'm always greeted when I walk-in and all my questions are always answered. I love seeing Dr. Desai and catching-up with her - she's very knowledgeable & was the first person to show me how to put on contacts (it took a while to get used to it, but now I can't live without contacts). I would strongly recommend Total Vision and Dr. Desai to my friends/family!
