Dr. Roberto Garcia-Ibáñez is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and a member of the Florida Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society. He received his M.D. from the Universidad de San Carlos in Guatemala and came to the United States to do his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He continued his specialization with a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. His practice has served the Tampa area for over 18 years. In addition to his training in the United States, Dr. Garcia-Ibáñez has studied abroad and attended various international allergy conferences, providing him with extensive experience in standard American approach as well as the most current European standards of care in allergy treatment.

Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. The doctor has a good bedside manner and he clearly knows what he's talking about. The nurses/the women at the front desk were very helpful and nice.

The only positive thing I can say about this man is that he did his dictation while he was in the room. He was very rude, unprofessional, and even my toddler (the patient) was uneasy around him. His nursing staff is nice but underappreciated. The lady at the front desk leaves a lot to be desired. After waiting an hour and a half for an appointment, we were brought into the room and got to hear the dr chatting up and introducing a patient's mother to his wife because they owned a business they frequented. No care as to the fact that I had been waiting forever. The visit was pointless, as he said the same things as the previous and forgot to order all of the tests that were 'so important.' In short- we won't be back.

I would highly recommend Dr Garcia. He is the first Dr that seemed to really understand the problems my allergies have been causing me. Most specialists that I have seen are in and out of the room in less than five minutes but he spent over twenty minutes discussing my symptoms and what steps he is going to take in my treatment.

This was my first visit to Dr. Garcia. I was seen at the South Tampa location. I was greeted as if I had been their favorite patient for years. I felt like everyone from the reception, to the nurses, and doctor were attentive throughout the entire appointment. My concerns were all addressed and documented, and paperwork for further testing was processed for me. I am looking forward to my follow up appointment.

He was great. The lady that took me in for my breathing tests was just awesome. The lady that checked me out didn't tell me where to go for my blood work or that i should take vitamin d with my allergy perscriptions. Thank goodness my mom goes here or I wouldn't have known. It was my first time there. Overall experience was good.
